Jessica Westendorp

Jessica Westendorp is the Firm Administrator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies and has experience managing small to mid-sized groups. Jessica brings valuable insight to systems setup and training, HR best practices, and business administration.

Growing up, Jessica observed the social interactions between her brother, who has a physical disability, and the people he encountered. She became keenly aware of the wide range of reactions he received—from fear, anxiety, and overcompensation rooted in preconceived notions to condescension and, often, kindness. These experiences sparked her enduring interest in how assumptions about appearance can shape the way people are treated.

As a young adult, Jessica was energized by meeting some of the first immigrants to settle in her community. She later traveled to rural Mexico to hike and to Guatemala, where she assisted with a water project through Engineers Without Borders. Over the years, she has watched Minnesota’s immigrant communities grow and evolve, enriching the state’s colorful collective while complementing its vibrant Midwestern heartbeat.

Jessica believes everyone deserves a voice and that we must address disparities in how people are treated based on their ability to conform to the majority. Although appearance may communicate parts of our identities to the wider community, the truth of a person’s character, intentions, and abilities runs far deeper. She is proud to support Wilson Law Group’s essential work helping immigrants navigate each step of the immigration process.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks, and defeating her best friends at dominoes—unless she is losing, in which case she is graciously earning back their affection.
