Fatima Acosta-Mendoza

Biography
Fatima Acosta-Mendoza is a Legal Assistant at Wilson Law Group. She assists with a variety of immigration matters such as asylum-based petitions, naturalizations, and family-based petitions. As the daughter of immigrants with mixed statuses, Fatima became aware of the variety of challenges immigrant communities face early on in life. Fatima has always strived to uplift the voices of her community members by personally and professionally participating in social justice initiatives that focus on grassroots movements, mutual aid, and community organizing.
Fatima graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and English. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Fatima worked at the Minnesota Senate as a Committee Legislative Assistant for the DFL Caucus. In the future, Fatima plans on continuing her education and attending law school in hopes of becoming a better advocate for her community.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her bunny, going on walks in the city, and adding books to her “to be read” list.
